Glass Glitter!!!!!!

So in the order that I received a few days ago I mentioned that I got some pretty fun stuff. I tried to use quite a bit of it on this card. I finally ordered some Glass Glitter and all I can say is holy moly this stuff ROCKS!!!!!!!!! I'm not talkin' alternative soft rock I'm talkin full on hardcore ROCK! Sadly the picture cant even fully translate how awesome this stuff is, I used sticky strip to adhere it into place, scraped at my test run with a credit card and that stuff was stuck on there pretty good, barely any came off.  I also picked up some new colors of ink too, loving Perfect Plum and Baja Breeze!

Anyways, onto what I used on this card:

  • Stamps: Nature Walk, Decorative Labels, French Foliage (a must have set IMHO, I hope ya'll got it when you could) all from SU!
  • Glue: Sticky Strip (SU!)
  • Glass Glitter in Champaign
  • XL Label Punch
  • Ink: Perfect Plum, Baja Breeze, Crumb Cake, Soft Suede
  • Paper: Part of Project Scrap Clean up...yup I'm still going at it :D

Hope you like the card as much as I do,

This is just one of the 4 stamp sets that come in the Four Frames Stamp Sets (W:$20.95, C: $15.95) and I also picked up the XL Decorative Label Punch...I love love love how these all fit together! I don't know how but I managed to leave off the new Decorative paper that is also premiering with that stamp set.

PSC: Perfect Mason II

This is the last one I created for the Laney set I sent out. I ended up sending a total of 20 cards to be divided into 2 sets of 10. I really love that mason jar, it was the last one I had. I hope whoever ends up with these cards, really enjoys them.

Thanks for looking at all of these,

Flower Blooms

Another card in the Laney Collection. I used a sheet from the Garden Party stack my mom gave me the last time she came for a visit. I used the water splatter stamp I love so much to add just a little extra something to this card.

Have a good night,

PSC: Many Blessings

This little card is pulling double duty as a PSC as well as a Laney card.
I was hoping I would be able to head down south this weekend to take the cards as well as a special cake but since I'm still trying to recover I think I'll be skipping all that and sending the cards out in the mail. My MIL knitted a very soft pink scarf to be auctioned off as well that I've paired with a matching mini card too.

Sorry if I'm slow on replies, this flu bug is kickin' my bum.
B~

OMG! I thought I posted this on Tues night. 2 days late, here you go. I am feeling much better then I was 2 days ago but the flu flared up my neck injury and now I have a cough which is making it all worse :(. I'm going to get some tea and then post a few more blogs for today. :D

This card is part of a group of cards that I've made to send off to a silent auction to benefit my cousin Delaney.

PSC: Guilded Floral Love

Another cute card courtesy of Project Scrap Cleanup. Unfortunatly I can't exactly say where all the elements on this card come from, the only one I know for sure is the SU! Stampin' Wheel I used with the Early Espresso flourish. "Love" stamp is a clear one that for some stupid reason when I first started I thew away the packaging for :/

PSC: Satin & Lace

It felt good to be able to sit down today and just create. I've loved seeing this type of ribbon on other's cards so I decided today would be the day for me to try it out, I had also picked up a bit of lace a few days back so I was excited to use that as well.

PSC: Valentine Card

Even though I've made quite a few cards in my Project Scrap Cleanup, I've barely made a dent in my piles :(...this is going to take quite a bit of time to accomplish. I will press forward though and once I've dwindled it down I will start to kill off my neglected paper stacks so I can bring in some cute new papers to play with.

So for this card I used:

  • Tag (K&Co)
  • Stamps: Hero Arts mini alphabet, French Foliage (SU!)
  • Paper: White Cardstock (SU!), Green (DCWV stack), Flower (unknown paper sheet)
  • Ink: Early Espresso, Old Olive (SU!), Tattered Rose (TH Distress)

Have an inspired day,

Fighting my way back from the dead

So last weekend I held 2 open houses and both of those houses were REO's (foreclosures) so they hadn't been heated in awhile. So for 4 hours at each open house is sat/stood/ and mingled in 52°f  temps but I thought ahead and had layers on. Sadly wed night right after my fun bbq dinner party I got a chill but then that chill turned into a shake and when my back shivers bad things happen. Now its Sat and I feel a little better, got a cough (which is aggravating the back & neck injury) that feels deeply rooted but at least there is no arthritis pain today, THANK GOD!!!!!

So whilst in a fever stuper I to tidy up my picture files on my computer and came across a couple cards I never posted. That makes me happy because I've been quarantined to my room or the living room, I cannot go anywhere near the loft for fear of getting Babushka sick (she's 89 and we don't want to chance it) so that kills craft time. Enough with the ramble check out this card...

This card was a collaboration piece with my friend Tracy for a class we taught together.

What we used on this card:
  • Paper: Whisper White (SU!)
  • Cardboard
  • Stamps: Vague Vintage, French Foliage, Frames with a Flourish (all SU!)
  • Ink: Rich Razzelberry, More Mustard, Old Olive, Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, Soft Suede (SU!)
  • Stickles: Cinnamon
  • Big Shot with Sizzix Alphabet (name unknown)
Thanks for visiting,

PSC: Thank You card

I had a whole bunch of Church Carolers come to my house 2 nights ago to sing to Babushka (DH Grandma), so while there were singing to her I was busy making this little card for them. This also gave me a chance to use some of my new inks and stamps I got for Christmas too.

What I used on this card:
  • Paper: White (generic), Purple Polka dots (SU Regals)
  • Stamps: Notably Ornate, Happiness Shared,
  • Ink: Crumb Cake, Always Artichoke (this is quickly becoming one of my favorite greens!) and Bravo Burgundy (SU-Classics)
  • Stampin' Write Markers: Certainly Celery and a Blank one temp. tinted with Milled Lavender (TH Distress ink)
Thanks for stopping' in,

Happiness Held - PSC #4

So here is my creation for today, looks way simple right? Well it did require a little bit of work because that background piece was originally various shades of grey and beige. I added soft and subtle colors to it using Prisma colored pencils and a Blending Stump. This was also my first time getting to use the Stampin Up! ribbon and I must say I LOVE IT! I've experimented a little with ribbon before but didn't dig the feel it gave me (in my hands and working with it) but this ribbon had some nice weight to it, didn't fray easily and made it easy to tie my pretty bow.

Perfect Mason PSC#2

Here is another card for my PSC. I've been wanting to use this Mason Jar piece for awhile and I had no clue how I could possibly use and actually like those feather things but I'm pretty pleased with how this turned out. So far so good, those bits of ribbon were scrap too so I guess I'll be clearing out more then just paper :D

Things I used on this card:

  • Paper: Kraft (Generic), Background paper (My Minds Eye)
  • Ink: Cat's Eyes in Pale Pink Chalk
  • Flowers: Green (Hero Arts), Bright Pink (Prima), Top flower ( Prima)
  • Ephemera (K & Co.)
Thanks for stoppin' by,

Planted Seeds -PSC #1

This is the first card of many to come from what I think I'll call, Project Scrap Cleanup or PSC for short. I used a Stamp Pad to make those cool lines on my white base to mimic a fence and then I found this piece of paper that I had cut a flower out of and decided to use that as a stencil. The scroll piece is a chunk of leftover chipboard that I gave a good coating of Distress Stickles to give it a little pop. The flower was one I had stowed away in my elements drawer and it was made utilizing my Slice.

What I used on this card:

  • Paper: Whisper White (SU!), Other Colors are unknown
  • Ink: Crumb Cake (SU!), Early Espresso (SU!), Tattered Rose (Distress Ink TH)
  • Glitter Glue: Crushed Olive (Stickles Distress)
  • Stamp: Seeds of Friendship (Hampton Arts)

Until next time,

Birdie & Bling

My Mom's birthday is coming up so I thought this would be the perfect time to use my black jewels. Her bathroom has a candelabra that reminds me of this bling so I have a feeling she will like this. I also got to play with my new stamp sets too so double bonus.

What I used on this card:

Love on the Fence

This card was inspired from a white fence and that K&Co love sticker.
I started by stamping the flourish background first.
Then cut plain white cardstock into various widths and edge with a brown Cat's Eye that managed to detach itself so I used petite pliers to hold it while I finished up the "fence".
I stamped the flowers in brown and shaded them in with colored pencils.

Products I used on this card:

Cardstock: Generic Kraft and White
Ink: Old Olive, Frayed Burlap and Walnut Stain (Distress Ink)
Chipboard: Love sticker (K&Co)

Thanks for checkin' in,

Hello Sweetie Pie

My Mother-in-law had told me she thought my cards were pretty but usually their colors were too dark for her taste so I made this bright and vibrant card to make her smile.

I layered my background with soft shades and used a very very pale green pencil to color my pears. I've also been dying to try out one of these boarder frames from a Ephemera pack I got awhile back so I think this is the perfect use for that. Before I glued down the frame I measured where I wanted my heat embossed image first, I have to get some kind of dark vintage color in here somewhere otherwise it would feel like mine.

Things I used on this card:
  • Cardstock: White (brandless)
  • Flowers: Prima and Hero Arts
  • Bling: Unknown
  • Inks: Distress Ink (Frayed Burlap, Antique Linen), Color Box Cat's Eye in blue.
  • Stamps: Bird (Elements of Style SU), Pear Collage (Memory Box), Vintage Stamps (Liberty, London Post by Hero Arts), Lace detail ( Prima)
  • Ephemera Boarder and Expression from K & Co.
  • Embossing Powder in Bronze (Hampton Arts A La Mode-Basics)
  • Colored Pencils ( Prisma)

  • SU: French Foliage,  Le jardin botanique, The bird is SU but I'm not sure which set.
  • Distress Inks in Antique Linen, Crushed Olive, Fired Brick, Frayed Burlap and Walnut Stain.
  • Cat's Eye ink in a beige color.

A little note for you

This is my first venture into using cardboard and I think I complimented it nicely with dainty stamps from SU.

I colored the cardboard with distress inks to give it more depth in color. Sadly I shot these at night and the full color isn't really coming through. I stamped all of these details in Frayed Burlap and then used colored pencils. I also added a bit of curling under the leaf and gave it a crease down the center to add to dimension. I also used the rounded end of a paint brush to give a bubbling up effect to the berries.

I really love those little berry branches, I layered small script over them and added a little distress inks to the edge of the card.

What I used on this Card:
  • Plain white Cardstock
  • SU: French Foliage, Le jardin botanique.
  • Cardboard
  • Distress Inks in Frayed Burlap, Antique Linen, Fired Brick, Spiced Marmalade
  • Prisma Colored Pencils
