PSC: Everything and the Kitchen Sink

I just went a little nuts on all the embellishments here. I made 2 tags, topped it with a metal rose that I picked up in the clearance jewelry section at M's. I also managed to sneak in real little pearls onto this too...I was also playing with my new Cuttlebug too, love that thing.

Thanks for checkin in with me,

PSC: Birthday Card

"The Moment may be temporary but the memory is forever."
A client of mine had a birthday last week so I made this card for her. I hope that all of the temporary moments of her birthday will be a beautiful memory that can last forever.

I managed to use my new set of Spellbinders as well as a Cuttlebug folder and I must say I'm really loving that little machine. Until we decide how we're going to change up the loft I've decided to be a space conscience as possible and the Cuttlebug fits in just right.

What I used on this Card:
  • Prima Flowers
  • Spellbinders Die
  • Bling (no brand)
  • Diamond Embossing Folder (Cuttlebug)
  • Paper: All random bits from the stash
  • Stickles Distress in Shabby Shutters
  • Snaps: Creative Memories
  • Clear Expression (unknown)
  • Stamps: Nature Walk (SU!)
  • Ink: Cajun Craze, Chocolate Chip, Crumb Cake and Old Olive (SU! Classics)
Thanks for lookin,

I have busted out my new set of Spellbinders and holy moly they are soooooo COOL!!!
They are like the greatest thing since....ice cream! Now I get why everyone is into them and I must say I need to get more.
I might make this card again and do something different in place of the flower as I'm not totally loving it but my MIL loved it so I thought maybe I was being my own worst critic and decided to post this anyway. I will keep playing with this card layout since I like how the banner looks against the die cut thingie.

What I used:
  • Ink: Chocolate Chip, Early Espresso (SU!), Metallic Purple from a Cats Eye set and Walnut Stain (TH DI)
  • Paper: Scraps from my drawer
  • Stamps: Notably Ornate and Nature Walk (SU!)
Thanks for lookin,

PSC: Since its been a touch windy...

I thought I'd make Pinwheels!....for my garden.
I recently potted a fern and placed it by my front door but it was a bit bland.
I think a few of these will do the trick to liven up that plain little fern.
Its rather late so instillation with happen some time tomorrow. I'll also need to rotate my sprinkler head as well as it completely soaked attempt #1's sassy pinwheel that I had make a week or so ago but forgot to photograph until it was too late.

In the center of my pinwheel is 2 decorative buttons glued together.
I made this from a 6x6 scrap piece of paper from my pile.

I got a few cards done so those posts will fallow along soon,

Glass Glitter!!!!!!

So in the order that I received a few days ago I mentioned that I got some pretty fun stuff. I tried to use quite a bit of it on this card. I finally ordered some Glass Glitter and all I can say is holy moly this stuff ROCKS!!!!!!!!! I'm not talkin' alternative soft rock I'm talkin full on hardcore ROCK! Sadly the picture cant even fully translate how awesome this stuff is, I used sticky strip to adhere it into place, scraped at my test run with a credit card and that stuff was stuck on there pretty good, barely any came off.  I also picked up some new colors of ink too, loving Perfect Plum and Baja Breeze!

Anyways, onto what I used on this card:

  • Stamps: Nature Walk, Decorative Labels, French Foliage (a must have set IMHO, I hope ya'll got it when you could) all from SU!
  • Glue: Sticky Strip (SU!)
  • Glass Glitter in Champaign
  • XL Label Punch
  • Ink: Perfect Plum, Baja Breeze, Crumb Cake, Soft Suede
  • Paper: Part of Project Scrap Clean up...yup I'm still going at it :D

Hope you like the card as much as I do,

PSC: Perfect Mason II

This is the last one I created for the Laney set I sent out. I ended up sending a total of 20 cards to be divided into 2 sets of 10. I really love that mason jar, it was the last one I had. I hope whoever ends up with these cards, really enjoys them.

Thanks for looking at all of these,

PSC:Bold Cake

PSC/Laney double duty card. I used Ranger Glossy Accents to adhere my glitter on the cupcake.
I'm not sure how well you can see it but up on top is a little heart.

Thanks for lookin',

PSC: Many Blessings

This little card is pulling double duty as a PSC as well as a Laney card.
I was hoping I would be able to head down south this weekend to take the cards as well as a special cake but since I'm still trying to recover I think I'll be skipping all that and sending the cards out in the mail. My MIL knitted a very soft pink scarf to be auctioned off as well that I've paired with a matching mini card too.

Sorry if I'm slow on replies, this flu bug is kickin' my bum.
B~

OMG! I thought I posted this on Tues night. 2 days late, here you go. I am feeling much better then I was 2 days ago but the flu flared up my neck injury and now I have a cough which is making it all worse :(. I'm going to get some tea and then post a few more blogs for today. :D

PSC: Frame

Hi all, sorry I've been m.i.a but I changed my brokerage right after valentines day and had to build a whole new website. I got into the card making mood again late last week only to catch the Flu from my Dh this weekend. Needless to say I'm not feeling all that great but I was able to get pics of my cards before I got sick so I'll be posting them off and on this week.

take care,
B~

PSC: XoXo

It sure does look like used 2 different color inks on the background doesn't it?
Truth be told that is the exact same color but for the lighter shade I didn't build up the color to give it the true Bravo Burgundy shade. I also used a clear acrylic stamp which made this technique easier since I could see if I had too little or too much ink on the stamp.

What I used on this card:
  • Cardstock: Pretty in Pink (SU!), Random Ivory scrap
  • Ink: Bravo Burgundy and Basic Black (SU! Classics) and a random shade of pale magenta from a cat's eye stack.
  • Pop Dots
  • Stamps: XoXo (unknown), Demask from a Prima Clear set.
I'll be doing a stamp workshop today so I will 3 very cute cards to share with you tomorrow.

PSC: Guilded Floral Love

Another cute card courtesy of Project Scrap Cleanup. Unfortunatly I can't exactly say where all the elements on this card come from, the only one I know for sure is the SU! Stampin' Wheel I used with the Early Espresso flourish. "Love" stamp is a clear one that for some stupid reason when I first started I thew away the packaging for :/
Until next time,

It felt good to be able to sit down today and just create. I've loved seeing this type of ribbon on other's cards so I decided today would be the day for me to try it out, I had also picked up a bit of lace a few days back so I was excited to use that as well.

Even though I've made quite a few cards in my Project Scrap Cleanup, I've barely made a dent in my piles :(...this is going to take quite a bit of time to accomplish. I will press forward though and once I've dwindled it down I will start to kill off my neglected paper stacks so I can bring in some cute new papers to play with.

  • Paper: White Cardstock (SU!), Green (DCWV stack), Flower (unknown paper sheet)

PSC: Just Because

Here is another card created via my PSC (Personal Scrap Cleanup) mission.
This card was based off of a very ugly tag I had gotten in a kit, I know it wasnt the tags fault but the colors were kinda fugly so I flipped it over and used the backside which was a nice shade of white...I can work with that! For the flower I decided I would stamp it but also add a touch of embossing powder to it to give it a little shine.

What I used on this card:
  • Paper: Rich Regals-Polka Dots (SU), Brown (unknown),  Tag (kit left over), Vintage Paper (DCWV), White Cardstock (generic)
  • Ink: Always Artichoke, Bravo Burgundy and Early Espresso.
  • Bling (unknown)
  • Stamps: Happiness Shared, Notably Ornate
  • Fibers (unknown)

Thanks for swingin by,

PSC: Thank You card

I had a whole bunch of Church Carolers come to my house 2 nights ago to sing to Babushka (DH Grandma), so while there were singing to her I was busy making this little card for them. This also gave me a chance to use some of my new inks and stamps I got for Christmas too.

What I used on this card:
  • Paper: White (generic), Purple Polka dots (SU Regals)
  • Stamps: Notably Ornate, Happiness Shared
  • Ink: Crumb Cake, Always Artichoke (this is quickly becoming one of my favorite greens!) and Bravo Burgundy (SU-Classics)
  • Stampin' Write Markers: Certainly Celery and a Blank one temp. tinted with Milled Lavender (TH Distress ink)
Thanks for stopping' in,

PSC: Altered Box

This is the first piece I made on my new desk. I was trying to organize things on top when I decided I wanted to keep my flowers on top for easy access since I got some great new Prima's in my stocking. I took K&Co box that was filled with Christmas chipboard pieces and decided to give it a better purpose.

This was a fairly easy project which has resulted in a very cute and versatile box, love it!

What I used on this box:

  • Paper: Scraps from a sheet of Mariposa paper (DCWV).
  • Stamp: Vintage Man (Hero Arts)
  • Flowers (Prima)
  • Ephemera (K&Co)
  • Flower Jewel Sticker (K&Co)

Have a great day!

Happiness Held - PSC #4

So here is my creation for today, looks way simple right? Well it did require a little bit of work because that background piece was originally various shades of grey and beige. I added soft and subtle colors to it using Prisma colored pencils and a Blending Stump. This was also my first time getting to use the Stampin Up! ribbon and I must say I LOVE IT! I've experimented a little with ribbon before but didn't dig the feel it gave me (in my hands and working with it) but this ribbon had some nice weight to it, didn't fray easily and made it easy to tie my pretty bow.

What I used on this card:

Wedgwood Inspired PSC #3

While I was out at HomeGoods I was perusing through the Christmas ornaments section and came across several ornaments made by Wedgwood like the one above. So when I got home I thought I'd make a card and just happened to find a very pretty blue in pile and so I made this card. Although the Wedgwood is typically just blue and white as well as very clean lined I just had to add my vibe to it by getting it at least a little inky and smudgy.

I love those these cards came out, although still clean lined (which I must add was very, very hard not to try to Zest the edges of the blue) it still has a sense of my style in it. I'd also like to add that I really, really love Liquid Pearl! That stuff just rocks, I love how I could add just a touch of white to break up the blue and not loose that dainty feel.

What I used on this card:
  • Paper: White (Generic), Blue (from a scrapbook kit I bought almost 2 years ago!)
  • Stamps: Baroque Motifs (SU!), Simple Sentiments (SU! Exclusive Hostess Set)
  • Ink: Crumb Cake (SU!), Early Espresso (SU!)
  • Liquid Pearl

Thanks for stopping by,
